Powering the Grand Cherokee is one of two engines, a 3.6L Pentastart V6 engine with 293 horsepower, a 5.7L Hemi V8 engine with 357 horsepower and a towing capacity up to 7200 lbs. Both engines are mated a an 8-speed automatic transmission.
